As Smiley continues its expansion into the US market in 2015, the team recently held its first US Licensee Summit event in New York City.
This day long event provided a unique networking opportunities for Smiley licensees to share experiences and learn from each other about how they can grow Smiley in their market, as well as receiving an up close and personal brand masterclass from the UK and US teams.
The day was kicked off by the UK marketing team who introduced licensees to the brands new website plans, brand content marketing strategy, current fashion collaborations, celebrity sightings, as well as the unique PR support from 5 international PR agencies that Smiley offers its licensees. The second session of the day was presented by the Smiley Brand teams who gave an overview of the brand’s history and architecture, as well as current strategies, new style guide themes, and some very exciting plans for 2016.
As the U.S. remains a key focus for Smiley’s global growth strategy through continued investment into trade shows, and its local office, Smiley is well positioned to grow and develop in the market. These ingredients combined with exciting, engaging partnerships with a new group of prestigious US partners alongside established and existing licensees and DTR partnerships will ensure Smiley continues its strong growth in this market.
