From the 18th-19th October Smiley made its debut appearance at Brand Licensing India in New Delhi, following on the back of an amazing year that has seen Smiley show at all the major International licensing trade shows including Brazil, Las Vegas, London, Milan, Paris and Shanghai.
Brand Licensing India, part of Franchise India was a unique opportunity to present The Original Smiley Brand to the Indian market and featured an exciting and conceptual stand carefully designed in trademark Smiley yellow and black, which allowed the world’s happiest brand to showcase both Smiley Original and SmileyWorld products across a variety of categories including apparel, FMCG, home décor, accessories, gifts, footwear and plush, with a host of exciting partnerships.
The show proved a great platform to share the Smiley success stories in the region as well as showcasing some of the exciting partnerships the brand already has in place, whilst engaging with both industry professionals and the public who were really excited to learn how the happiness trend and Smiley can help partners to grown their businesses in the years ahead.
The show follows on the back of a hugely successful year for Smiley in the Asia Pacific region that has seen Smiley grow its business to 20 key licenses, 30 major retail partnerships that represent over 5,000 doors and turnover in excess of $30 million USD, as well 50 franchised stores in China for both adults and kids (which will grow to 200 by the year end), 120 apparel doors throughout the Middle East and 160 corners (men, women, boys, girls) in India.
