Smiley has entered into a strategic digital partnership with leading SEO and content marketing agency Caliber with a remit to increase Smiley’s domination of the digital space.


This new collaboration with one of Europe’s leading digital agencies will see Caliber involved in the design and build of the new website (scheduled to launch in June 2015) and help to develop a new content marketing strategy to boost Smiley’s ownership of key search terms globally. This new approach to digital by the worlds happiest brand will see an innovative and customer-centric approach in creating rich and engaging content from licensees products across multiple digital platforms. Smileys in-house design team will produce bespoke content for social media campaigns that will promote its licensees to over 4.2 million social media followers and generates traffic, web visibility, site visitors and e-commerce sales for partners sites.

The new partnership with Caliber will ensure Smiley utilises a variety of SEO best practices and ensure is the number 1 resource on the internet for Smiley & Emoticon search topics and traffic (of which there is over 1 million per month).

Smiley’s continued investment into the digital space underpins the expansion plans of CEO Nicolas Loufrani, as the brand plans forays into the entertainment sector in 2016, with the launch of entertainment division Smiley Kids currently in development, and the expansion of Smiley into non traditional licensing opportunities and new media channels.
