According to The World Happiness Report 2015, a landmark survey of the state of global happiness, the following countries have ranked the happiest in the world:
Statistics show that the world’s cheeriest people live in Switzerland, and there are many reasons why! As well as Switzerland’s beautiful landscapes and wide lakes, the country is economically very strong and has an unemployment rate of just 2.9%. Oh and not to mention the amazingly delicious chocolate!
Known for its peacefulness and scenic surroundings, Iceland has been placed as the second happiest country with a range of enjoyable activities including bathing in hot natural springs! Iceland also offers relatively low income tax, free health care and higher education.
It is no surprise that Denmark is ranked as the third happiest country in the world with its brilliant community spirit, high environmental scores and life satisfaction levels. Despite being one of the smallest countries in the world, Denmark has a lot to offer and welcomes tourists with open arms!
Norway is another country that ranks as one of the happiest places to live, with its peaceful surroundings and natural beauty Norway is home to thousands of lakes, outstanding views and unspoiled beaches. It also has great levels of satisfactions with the standard of living.
Next up is Canada, not only one of the largest countries in the world it’s also one of happiest! Canadians have one of the highest life expectancies in the world as well as living in one of the safest countries.
Sixth on the list is Finland. The beautiful country is sure to put a smile on your face especially if you are lucky enough to watch the breath-taking Northern lights, or visit the many stunning gothic cathedrals, medieval castles and museums.

With a combination of active big cities and natural beauty, Sweden is up there as one of the happiest destinations in the world. The capital of Sweden, Stockholm is said to be the first ever green capital in Europe and renowned for its large amount of public green areas.
